Charlemagne instituted overall development and a return to the Greco-Roman civilization that had brought progress to the Western and Central Europe. His rule exemplified the height of Carolingian renaissance which brought a great reinvigoration and return to the art, cultures and religion centered under the Roman Catholic Church. The Greco-Roman civilization had been laid on piety, education of the deities and morality. Its decline was marked by corruption, extortions, nepotism, injustices and immorality. It is Charlemagne’s sharp intellect that brought him great trump in conquests of various regions as well as his coronation as Emperor of Rome by Pope Leo III. He established and extended his spheres of influence and rule over the entire Europe.

Charlemagne established his courts as a centre of new intellectual renaissance and built schools and art centers. This inclination to education and for the expansion of culture based on the Christian tradition make him the more admirable. Regardless of the rise of barbarism in the European kingdoms, his overriding intention, sacrifices and conquests to restore European kingdoms to order was the most notable of his achievements. He reigned fairly, assigned emissaries who gave intelligence reports to his court and presided over all activities with bishops and viceroys to establish a just and flair government. Central to his style of leadership was a constant address to the populations and consultation of the elders. As a young king, Charlemagne embodied great wisdom. In spite of the fact he was not schooled in the conventional manners, his abilities to organize and implement successful expeditions was unimaginable…”
