Advancement in science and technology has developed numerous genetic engineering techniques which are used to alter the genetic makeup of an organism for different purposes. A genetically modified organism is a microorganism, animal or plant whose DNA has been altered through genetic engineering. All grocery products containing GMOs should be clearly labeled.
