            The healthcare sector has several challenges that need improvement in several ways. In most of these case, the evidence based approach is deemed as the best way to achieve the goals of the healthcare institutions. It is however worth noting that there are objections from the nurses that can be easily observed when the evidence based practice is put into use. Some of these objections include but are not limited to; time consumption because of the need for adequate evidence to clarify the need for change, there is equally the need for effective research language that is hard to understand, the clinical research that are carried out also end up not being taken seriously because of the fact they cannot be applied to individual patients (Jackson,2011). Nurses also object the evidence based practice because most of the decision making initiatives are taken away from them thus making it a major impediment towards their individual growth.
            The need for institutional change in the healthcare sector should be given first priority even though there is the existence of the barriers to effective use of evidence based practice majorly because of profit motive. Some of palliative care needs of the patients make also make it hard for nurses to adjust to the requirements of the evidence based practices as they do not have access to the much needed information because of time constraints (Jackson,2011).
