Introduction
The students and staff from Learning Centre at Kendal College benefit widely from access to a wide range of resources and facilities such as books, DVDs and e-resources. They also subscribe to over 100 periodicals including magazines and newspapers. The learning center has several services available to staff and students such as:
• Loaning other resources – laptop computers, CDs, DVD, EBooks;
• Booking of workstations - by either staff or students (students cannot block book);
• Change student account passwords;
• Arranging interlibrary loans;
• Ordering resources for sale to staff or students at a discount of 10%; • Handling cash from fines, stationery and book sales;
• Providing a printing and binding service.
The Learning Centre at Kendal College provides on-site support which ensures that student and staff take advantage of the available facilities that are available within the institution. The Learning Centre at Kendal College plays an important role as the primary source of support for staff and students at the institute promoting excellence in research, learning, and reading among other activities.
